Podcasting with iTunes

A "podcast" is just a downloadable audio file, typically MP3 or WAV format, delivered via an RSS feed. Podcasting allows your subscribers to listen to your audio programs and information on your their own schedule, either through a computer or downloaded to a portable audio device.

Step 1: To podcast, just drag your audio files into the Files section in Instant Publisher. Then click on the Web Settings and check the Publish RSS Feed checkbox and click Update.

Step 2: An RSS button will appear on your web page at the bottom of the Files section. Clicking on the RSS button will load a new page.

Step 3: To add your podcasts to iTunes, copy the URL from the new page (for example - http://website.net/feeds/70114/files.xml) and choose Subscribe to Podcast... from the iTunes Advanced menu. Paste the URL and click OK. Your valid audio files will be added to the Podcasts section in iTunes. For more information on Podcasting and iTunes visit Apple's Manage Podcasts page. If you have your page protected by a password, it will prompt for authorization. Just enter the password for the page (you do not need to enter a 'Name').
